Workforce Center
The Goodland Work Center offers a wide variety of services to employers in Sherman County. Employers are encouraged to utilize the Work Center to help meet their workforce needs. Services include, but are not limited to:
 
Job Listings     
Employers may search resumes and advertise current workforce needs, at no cost, by listing available positions online both locally and nationally at www.kansasjoblink.com. The Workforce Center will accept and screen applications, and refer only those that meet company specifications.
 
Interviewing            
The Workforce Center has space available for interviewing prospective employees. Staff is also available to schedule interview appointments.
 
Job Fairs
Space is available at the Workforce Center for employer job fairs.
 
Assessment Services
The Workforce Center provides assessment and testing of job applicants including typing, 10-key, data entry, spelling, math word processing, and spreadsheet.
 
Services to Veterans
Veteran employment representatives are available to assist employers in finding qualified veterans to fill positions.
 
Custom Direct Training Program
Flexibility to design a training program to meet the specific skill requirements for your employees. By partnering with Kansas post-secondary institutions, Kansas 1st can assist you in selecting or customizing a program to meet your business needs.
 
State and Federal Posters
Information on obtaining state and federal posters required by law to be displayed in a place of business may be found at the Workforce Center.
 
Labor Market Information
Current information on labor market conditions is available at the Workforce Center.
